Easter Fun for Kitties and new beginnings

Easter is full of fun stuff for kitties and their humans. We have Easter egg hunts, the Easter Bunny, Easter baskets full of goodies, family get-togethers, and for many the one time they may get all gussied up to go church once a year.

The Paws family is celebrating with some very cool Easter baskets and some fun plastic eggs, which the kitties are batting around to keep them amused. Today, we share some photos in the Kitty’s Blue’s, Cat on My Head Sunday Selfie Blog Hop. There are some awesome pet bloggers participating in this blog hop, and we invite you to go hop around.

Easter marks the beginning of Spring

Easter also marks the beginning of Spring, with crocuses popping up, the grass turning green, and warmer temperatures.

For many, including the kitties, it means, it won’t be long until we can open up the windows, let in fresh air, and let the kitties romp around the yard for a few hours of supervised fun while their human does her gardening and yard-work.

Reflecting on our writing/blogging goals

New beginnings at Paws for Reflection means taking a  look at our writing/blogging goals, and putting together some serious plans for our future. We signed up and we accepted for BlogPaws’ Pathfinder session, and we did it to jump-start our writing career, which needs a shot in the arm.

Participating in BlogPaws Pathfinder session

We have our first conference call this coming Thursday, and we can’t wait. We have been sifting through BlogPaws’ articles on developing business and social media plans. We have been thinking hard about What is Our Why? Why are we blogging? Why are we spending hours every week to develop articles about cats and their humans?

Finding the What is Our Why important

Our reflection has taken us back to our beginnings, and we know some things we really want to accomplish. They include:

  • Connecting with like-minded cat people around the world.
  • Networking in the animal world in Maine, and developing strong networks.
  • Becoming known as a viable source for cat-related information.
  • Developing a platform for marketing cat articles to magazines and online publications.
  • Establishing an audience for future book endeavors.
  • Finding a way to monetize more effectively so I can spend my time doing what I love.
  • Getting involved with cat causes that I truly believe in.
  • Learning more about cats so I can be a better cat parent.

Reflecting on the why is one of the best suggestions that I’ve found to lay out a solid foundation on what I want to accomplish as a blogger. Digging back into the recesses of your mind, helps you keep focused, and we’re hoping BlogPaws’ Pathfinder session, BlogPaws 2017 conference, and reconnecting with my friends at the Cat Writers Association, will help Paws do just that. We can’t say how many wonderful people we’ve met through these two organizations, and we’re looking forward to meeting a lot more pawsome pet people.

Those are some ambitious goals! I admire your bravery in setting them down so publically, and I look forward to following you as you work to make those goals a reality. I know you can do it!

It’s good humans have chocolate – it keeps them busy worrying about weight and less about what we eat!

Sorry we are late, happy Easter and we hope your week is a good one

Now those eggs look like they were loads of fun. Me, I’m hoping for nip mice though I’m told the Easter Bunny doesn’t usually stock those. Looks like I’ll have to get my own! Peep is going to BlogPaws, to find out more and create a change for the better, and develop new skills too to help me. And yes, to figure out where to go. Me, I’ll be back here holding the fort and chasing the mice.

Nip mice sounds pretty pawsome and yummy! None here today. Hope to run into you at BlogPaws!! My felines will be manning, or should I say, catting the house. They’d rather be in the comfort of their own home.
