Okaysou’s Air Purifier is great for cat owners. Here’s why. Okaysou’s Advanced Medical Grade H13 HEPA Air Purifier works fast, removing pet hair and dander, purifying the air in a matter of hours, making it feel clean and fresh.

When Paws was given a chance to review one, we said why not. We were curious about their claims to remove odors, bacteria, viruses and mold. With a five-year warranty, it sounded like a good idea to see if we could control some of the excessive cat hair that becomes annoying, to say the least.

As a cat guardian, Paws is particularly keen on reducing pet dander and stubborn unwanted odors; however, we are also very interested in dust, mold, bacteria, viruses, and pollen.
One of my kitties has asthma, and pollen will aggravate his coughing and make it more difficult for him to breathe.

Within a few hours, we were pretty impressed with its performance. Even within a few minutes, we could feel a difference in the air. Somehow, it felt cleaner with less dust and cat hair. It was like opening a window on a nice fall crisp day.
It is very easy to set up and use. It is incredibly quiet, and it even has a sleep function so you can set it and forget it. There’s a fan switch so you can choose if you want low, medium, or high. Even on high, you would hardly know an air purifier was at work.
There’s a light with a dimmer switch, making it easy to see the controls, and there’s even a timing function switch so you can set when you want the unit to turn off.

It was very well packaged, making shipping safe. Just take it out of the box, and set it up. Be sure to read the instructions though, as Paws did not remove the plastic around the filter inside.
Glad we read the instructions within a few moments, and we quickly opened the product to remove the plastic around the filter. That gave us a chance to see first-hand how much purification efforts went into designing this product.
Okaysou’s Air Purifier is great for cat owners
The Okaysou Air Purifier has an adjustable air flow level. Just touch the fan icon, and it will go from low, medium, to high. Even on high, you’d almost never know there was an air filter going.
Be sure to place the unit where it will get plenty of ventilation. There are air vents on both sides, and blocking them could reduce the air purifier’s efficiency.
Another great feature is that it is designed vertically and not horizontally, meaning it’s not going to eat up a ton of shelf room. That makes it easier to find a spot where it is aesthetically pleasing while able to be the most efficient.
The H13 True HEPA felt filter has four parts. That in itself sounds impressive. The outer part is a washable & detachable pre-filter the captures large particles such as dust, pet fur, hair and more. Then, there’s the H13 True HEPA Filter, which removes remove 99.97 percent of the airborne particles of 0.3 microns, such as smoke, tiny dust particles, mold, bacteria, viruses, pollen, pet dander and mites.
The high-efficiency active carbon cotton filter absorbs stubborn and unwanted odors and fumes, formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, and VOCs (paint fumes). This makes it that much better than the H11, which did not remove formaldehyde or VOC’s. And the H8, does not address viruses, bacteria, pet dander, smoke, voc’s or formaldehyde.
Now that is a pretty significant difference, especially today, as we have become more in-tune with viruses and bacteria, with the flu, colds, and COVID-19.
According to product literature, the filter should be replaced every six to eight months. And as all those four parts come as one piece, it’s as easy as slipping the old one out and putting in a new one.
You’ll have a good idea of when to change it, as there is a filter light remind you to check the air filter. Even if it hasn’t been the full six to eight months, you should check the filter if the light comes on.
Unplug the air filter before removing the filter. You can clean out any remaining dust or hair inside the filter with a vacuum.
Do not use water or liquids to clean the purifier as it could damage it.
To reset the filter indicator light, just hold the flight for three 3 seconds, and it should be all set to go.
You may need to replace the filter if you see:
- Increased noise levels
- Decreased Airflow
- Unusual odors
- A visibly clogged filter
The prefilter on the other hand should be cleaned once a month to increase its efficiency and extend its life. You can remove the outer filter to wash it; however, be sure it is completely dry before reinstalling it. You also can clean the inside and outside of the filter with a soft brush or vacuum to remove hair, dust and large particles.
