National Craft for your Local Shelter Day is July 21. It is designed to let people know they can support their local shelters through crafting some fun shelter necessities.
This special day was started in 2012. National Craft for your Local Shelter Day is designed to create awareness on how people can give back to local shelters without having to adopt or give money. Keep in mind, shelters need supplies, and a lot of them can be created with items around the house.
Use your imagination. All cats like toys, blankets and beds. You can even make a hand-made scratching post to delight the felines in your local shelter.
